Kitchen Cannister

Kitchen Cannister for Woody
Sept 2010

"Garage Saling" is one of my favorite activities! I found a dingy~yellow, scratched up 1940's cannister
and breadbox set at a garage sale for $1.00. I painted it bright red to go in the Woody kitchen!
It looks marv!!! I love to "rescue" items that are looking for new homes! LOL
4 small drawers that go on top

Looking great in its new kitchen!

Palo Duro Trip

Palo Duro Canyon Adventure
Maiden Voyage
September 2009

Charlie checkin' out Palo Duro!

My first outing was to Palo Duro Canyon, Texas! I took Charlie Brown with me to keep me company!
He really enjoyed the ride, sleeping in the camper, and hiking, but didn't care much for the heat and having to be on his leash a great deal.
Teardrop Woody... ready to go on her maiden voyage!
We stayed only one night in the canyon. It was a long, 3~day weekend and I just wanted to take the Woody out on a short trip for her debut and maiden voyage!

Charlie ready for bed!

What a site she was compared to huge RV trailers and decked out homes on wheels! But she definitely drew attention. People would come up just to get a "peek" inside and wanted to know all her!

We were very close to the showers so there was no problem at all. Charlie and I had hot dogs on the George Foreman grill and with the heat, didn't feel much like eating!
Cooking dinner in the Teardrop kitchen! lol

We slept well, feeling safe and sound and watched a movie inside the trailer before retiring!

Me n Charlie Brown.... !

Charlie didn't like being tied up!

Beautiful prickly pear cactus!

Woody on the Road

Teardrop Woody
August 7, 2009

Yesterday I bought a Teardrop Woody. I have wanted one of these for a long time and researched them on the Internet for more than 5 years. Yesterday I finally purchased one from a man that builds and sells trailers, many of them vintage trailers that he refurbishes. He actually lives here in Clovis, New Mexico and he does excellent refurbishing work on old versions of campers! This particular trailer he built new to resemble the Teardrop Woody's of the 1930's and 40's. I think he did a beautiful job!

Wow! I'm excited! Today I go register it and then start planning my first trip.
I actually stayed the night in it last night to see how it slept. ...!
